Amanda’s personal investment in the ministry of Young Life has been essential to the work we do in Grenoble. Her sacrificial service has permitted the staff and volunteer leaders to invest more deeply in the lives of local middle and high schoolers in ways we would never have been able to otherwise. We were blessed to arrive on the mission field in France the same week as Amanda and to work alongside her for over four years. Her authenticity and zeal for sharing Jesus’ message of radical love grabbed us right away. Despite the challenges inherent in adjusting to a new culture, language, and ministry context, she impressed us with her determination to persist for His Kingdom purposes. As she navigated unfamiliar social settings and personal hardships, Amanda maintained an unwavering moral compass that pointed her into relationships where she could share Christ’s love with others. Her sense of humor buoyed herself (and us) many a time and her steadfast loyalty to friends is a great testament to her character. We have so enjoyed our vantage point to observe her ongoing growth in the Spirit, the patience and perseverance that has been fostered in her, and the joy that has never left her missions call. In much the same way that our own children’s maturity in Christ refines our faith, we have been blessed to have a front row seat to this season of Amanda’s journey. We are honored to call her a fellow worker for His Gospel and are excited about the next phase of her missions journey.
