six month update
I hope you are doing well. In Grenoble, the sun is shining again, and the trees are turning green. Spring has arrived. The flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. I love walking along the path and watching the lizards run by my feet, while listening to the children play outside. People are relaxed while strolling through my village, taking their time with errands and enjoying the warm weather. We are no longer hiding behind our winter coats, hats, and scarves. As we cross paths, we make small conversation while waiting at the bakery. It seems like time has slowed down a bit.
I am thankful to see blue skies and fresh flowers. I love opening my windows and listening to the birds sing, while walking through the park on my way home. It's wonderful seeing everyone enjoying the outdoors!
It is hard to believe it has been six months. Some days it feels like I have been here for years, while other days it feels like no time has passed at all.
I miss home in more ways than I did before. However, in the midst of being home-sick, I am still grateful to be here serving the Lord. I am growing in my faith, healing, and learning to adapt cross-culturally.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email. It means the world to me knowing I am thought of and cared for. I greatly appreciate you taking time out of your day to read about my life and what I am doing to serve the Lord.
I am learning more and more how great the need is to share the Gospel. My heart aches while walking through campus, knowing many of these students will never hear about Jesus. I often wonder, "who is going to tell them?" Many times I have shared the hope in Christ with others who are going through difficult times. Sadly, many deny Him or even reject the desire to believe.
Living in a secular context is not easy. My worldview and perspective are far from what they can understand. It takes so much faith and trust in God, believing seeds are being planted and cared for by our Heavenly Father. At the end of the day, these individuals are not mine. They belong to Him and I trust the Father with His children. Just as He is present with me in my pain, He is also present with them in their pain.

I had my first of many raclette parties! We were able to have four people over, and those four people do not have a relationship with Jesus. They stayed late, and it was such a fun night! I am hoping to have them over again.

This is our Friend M with her very American stuffed animal! She collects stuffed animals, and the only missing animal was a beaver. We were able to get her a Buc-ee's Beaver from Texas. I am so thankful my parents were able to send this to us.

This is my French Friend and her horse! I have been invited several times to go out and see her horse and spend time in the countryside of the ALPS. I LOVE animals and the country. Being here is a breath of fresh air!

I got to have crepes with M and S from my French class one week! I am thankful for the relationships I am building in my French class.
I got to have lunch with my French Friend Julia and her sister one day in the park! I love that I am growing deeper with my friendships. It feels like family!
My teammates and I went to our friend's performance! She demanded we take a photo with her teacher because He is American, haha. He is also the inventor of the type of music called "Sound Painting."
